Nacogdoches PD Helps Celebrate Milestone in Law Enforcement Industry; Receives WatchGuard’s 100,000th In-Car Police Video System

ALLEN, TX: December 20, 2018

WatchGuard, Inc. (“WatchGuard”), the leading provider of mobile video solutions for law enforcement, conducted a ceremony on the front steps of the Nacogdoches Police Department during which Chief Jim Sevey was presented a plaque by WatchGuard Founder and CEO, Robert Vanman, commemorating the 100,000th in-car video system manufactured and shipped by the company.

WatchGuard presents a commemorative plaque.

“When we heard we would be acknowledged as receiving the 100,000th system, we jumped at the chance to help WatchGuard celebrate this significant milestone in their long history with law enforcement,” said Chief Sevey. “We’ve been really pleased with WatchGuard and the system we purchased.”

On October 2, Nacogdoches City Council voted to approve the almost $400,000 system which equips all officers and detectives with new body-worn cameras, and patrol vehicles with new in-car video systems. The order led to the production and shipment of the 100,000th system.

WatchGuard began shipping the first version of its in-car system to law enforcement in 2005. Today, the company has supplied video systems to approximately one-third of all law enforcement agencies in the United States and Canada, including 23 state highway patrols and more than 1,000 county sheriff offices and 3,500 city police agencies.
